General fishery rules

Please read the rules before fishing to help protect the fishery, wildlife and other anglers.

Before you fish

Fish responsibly and respect the water

These rules apply to all anglers fishing Leighton Reservoir. Please make sure you have purchased a valid ticket before starting your session.

Fly fishing only

Barbless hooks only

Keep all fish in the water when releasing

A ticket must be purchased before fishing

Evening tickets start from 4:00pm

Complete a catch return after fishing

Place catch returns in the letter box

No brown trout to be killed

Sunken lines with floating booby flies are not allowed
